What Kansas Parents and Players Need to Know
about the 2009-10 ODP Program
THERE ARE CHANGES TO THE 2009-2010 KANSAS ODP PROGRAM. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Specific age group information below.
ODP age groups have a Jan. 1 cutoff date instead of the Aug. 1 cutoff date used for club teams, therefore, we refer to teams by year of birth rather than as Under 13 etc. Players in ODP must participate in their own age group.
The 2009-2010 Kansas ODP year will begin with TRYOUTS for all age groups in August 2009. There will be a second TRYOUT for all age groups in November. Players are encouraged to attend both tryouts.
Younger players (’96, ’97, and 98+ ages) will participate in Centers of Excellence (C. of E.) held at various venues throughout the state. There will be four C. of E. sessions per venue during September and October (locations, dates and times T.B.A.). Older players (’93, ’94 and ’95 ages) will participate in their high school or club seasons.
Following the November TRYOUT, a STATE POOL will be named. All players (all age groups) named to State Pools will train in December and will participate in ODP Pool Game/Training sessions in January and February. In addition, there will probably be out-of-state or in-state game events in November and January or other times throughout the year --- these events carry an additional per-player fee.
In order for a player to be registered for the 2009-2010 Kansas ODP program, the completed Registration Form (either via online registration or in hard copy), a small photo, a copy (front & back) of your insurance card, the Medical Release, and full payment must be received at the KSYSA office, 708 S. Rogers Rd., Ste. C, Olathe, KS 66062

2. There will be no reduction in fees for any sessions missed (including tryouts or trainings). Once Registration forms and fees are received, there will be NO refunds of fees. Players may register late, if the full fee is paid.
3. Events or Activities (tournaments, ODP friendlies, pre-event extra trainings, Mini-camps prior to Regional Camp, etc.) other than regular training/evaluation sessions will involve additional fees. If a player is selected for participation in an Event or Activity, he/she will be assessed an event/activity fee.
